Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy

About Department:

 The specialized dermatological & sexually transmitted diseases clinical and teaching services started in Government Medical College in 2016.

 Facilities Available in Department:
 
 Department has fully equipped outpatient department which offers treatment services in the field of Dermatology, STD and Leprosy. Outpatient clinics function daily for Skin, STD and Leprosy patients; it caters to an average 100 patient per day. Minor OT services are also available daily, which include electric & chemical cautery, Cryo, intra-lesional injections and skin biopsy etc.
 
 Departmental Library, with latest books and journals on Skin, STD & Leprosy and books of other basic MBBS subjects are available.
 
 Health services to the community - The department actively participates in the Leprosy Elimination Programme, NACO STD project, HIV Programme, ART training and various time to time programmes conducted by state and central government.
 
 
 
 Courses:
 MBBS courses of DVL is taught to the students from 4th semester onwards.
